Can't stand the thought of missing the Gila Monster and Devil's Backbone for two years in a row, so here we go.  September temps look pretty good for Clifton and Alpine, AZ as check points!  Double Thumbs up!

Firm Dates:  Option 2 is really now Option 1 but I'll leave it as listed to avoid further confusion.....  Hmmm

Wednesday, September 22: DFW to Roswell (dinner at Farley's for a burger "bigger'n yore dang head!")

Thursday, September 23 departure 9:00 AM: Roswell to Silver City (Gila Monster Hwy 152)

Friday, September 24: Devil's Backbone Loop Added Mogollon side tour off 180 that looks like fun!

Saturday, September 25:
Silver City to Lubbock (dinner with the Old Guy and HRB if they're around!)
Saturday (option 2): Stay in Silver City and check out the Gila Cliff Dwellings Natl Monument north on Hwy 15.  Been wanting to do that both prior trips, but scheduling didn't permit it.  Heck with it, no time like the present - adding a day to just do it!

Sunday, September 26: Lubbock to DFW
Sunday (option 2): Silver City to Lubbock (or other home destinations)

Monday (option 2): Lubbock to DFW (or other home destinations)

Lodging details:
9/22: Figure everyone can pick their points hotel.
Comfort Suites, 3600 North Main Street, Roswell, NM, US, 88201, Phone: (575) 623-5501
9/23,24,25: Silver City, Gila House B&B (limited rooms) or your pick 'em
9/25: Fairfield Inn, 4007 South Loop 289, Lubbock,TX 79423, 1 806-795-1288

Food options:
9/22: Roswell - Farley's
9/23: Silver City - Jalisco Cafe
9/24: Buckhorn Lodge - http://www.buckhornsaloonandoperahouse.com/ or 9/25 if everyone is staying for the Saturday tour.
9/25: Silver City - looking....
9/26: Lubbock - O.G. and HRB pick 'em

Anyone want to ComeOn ?

Option 2, aka "The Whole Enchilada":
JR/KR
JBD

O.G. (joining up in Roswell!)
Duck (IN - the anti-RODEO)

Bumped the dates back a week for poor, busy little JBD.  No problem, those temps actually look a little better.

Historical avg highs for Sept 25 are Silver City = 78, Clifton = 89 and Alpine, AZ = 69!  That should werk.  Thumbs

First post is correct.  Guess I should drop the "tentative" label.  JBD got first move rights.

Firm dates:
Wednesday, September 22: DFW to Roswell (dinner at Farley's for a burger "bigger'n yore dang head!")

Thursday, September 23: Roswell to Silver City (Gila Monster Hwy 152)

Friday, September 24: Devil's Backbone Loop Added Mogollon side tour off 180 that looks like fun!

Saturday, September 25: Silver City to Lubbock (dinner with the Old Guy and HRB if they're around!)

Sunday, September 26: Lubbock to DFW

Fred, if you all want to take a southern route and stay over somewhere near Marfa we could hook up at Las Cruces for the Gila Monster and Silver City fun.  Figure we'd both be going through there about the same time on Thursday.   Yes Nod

What's Gloria's??  Question

The impromptu lunch spot in Rotan (I think) a little Taqueria on the roadside - actually it turned out to be quite good, but it was like we were eating at someone's house after church.

Figuring to do a southern route but thinking we will just hook up with y'all in Roswell. Sooner we hit good company the better.  Yes Nod
