I wrote a long comparison between 555 and the sisters when I came back.  You are correct this is not all of it, there are things in life scarier than a blind drop - like the roller coaster bottoming you out at 70, fringe on you mud guards, cattle guards that rattle your teeth and drop 500 feet up not to mention the 110 degree turns uphill.

We are very close to finalizing the hotel and will be announcing soon. The dates will be Monday June 20 thru Friday the 24th (registration starts the 20th, runs start on the 21st and the banquet will be on the 24th).

Among the compelling arguments that lead us to schedule a mid-week meet:
- This way the west coast, east coast and Canada would have 2 days of travel time.
- We will have the beautiful Hill Country roads more to ourselves during the week.
- Folks in Texas and the region can do the whole shebang, or just come in for Thursday and Friday and still be able to participate in a North American meet.

The Official Website "nationalsolsticeskymeet2011.com" is up and running and you can find all of the most current information there. We will be starting a new thread with the Official Announcement as soon as we can.

Some of us were already planning on coming in early anyway Coop, like I said earlier....a 10hr run would kill my legs, I would have to have people pry me out of the car!!!!!So being closer for the Sisters run early will mean that we don't get in the way of the larger groups running the Sisters. Plus I have been to Texas so many times but there are still things I want to do that I never got a chance to do........AND HELL did you see BRUCE's list for me.....I might need a month with what he keeps coming up with. LOL too funny. Well here ya go, you have a almost a year....take a picture of you now and then one after the event!!! Wanna see how many grey hairs you acquired..........Good luck and have fun with it....of all the people on your committee KY will be the one you can count on the most to get things done.......  Texas  Take care ---Chili   SmileDrink SmileDrink SmileDrink Champagne
